Seeing Saturn at her Base
Saturn’s base mooring is next to the wonderful historic Ellesmere Yard, on the outskirts of Ellesmere, Shropshire, on the Llangollen Canal. An extension to our major and fruitful partnership with Canal and River Trust, we have a mooring there for Saturn and for her current towing boat. This is part of the CRT initiative to regenerate Ellesmere Yard; Saturn will usually winter there, and will normally be displayed there when not on tour. Saturn is fully visible from the towpath, and is publicly accessible at Ellesmere Yard events and by appointment. When Saturn is not there, we encourage use of our moorings by other historic boats.
Seeing Saturn at events
Come and experience life on a Fly-Boat. From March to September Saturn travels the Waterways of the North-West, North of Birmingham to Merseyside and into North Wales, attending major events and undertaking specific educational and other bookings. The Society works with the Canal and River Trust in planning our annual programme.

Booking Saturn for your Event
Saturn can be booked to attend events or for filming and other promotional purposes. Please note – Saturn cannot be used for passenger carrying trips. The cost depends on the circumstances and also varies if a horse is required. We are a charity and must raise funds for the ongoing maintenance of Saturn.
